Events and activities are coordinated through five committees. Each committee is headed by two student ministers. All are invited and encouraged to share their ideas and talents.
Community Life
The Community Life Committee helps to foster community and celebrate the joy of Christian living and to practice Christian hospitality. We coordinate, delegate responsibility, and oversee various social events sponsored by the UCSD Catholic Community.
Faith Formation
The Faith Formation Committee seeks to promote the on-going education and faith formation of our diverse community. Our mission is to affirm and promote the Church's educational mission which is: community, service and worship. We do so by providing multiple opportunities for people of all ages, especially the college students, to deepen their knowledge and understanding of the Catholic faith.
Liturgy
The Liturgy Committee assists the Director, Associate/s, and Director of Music in preparing for liturgical seasons, feasts and special events. We also assist in developing the liturgical ministries (Readers, Eucharistic Ministers, Greeters, Minister of Community, Hospitality, etc). The committee chairs are responsible for publicizing liturgical events and inviting people to participate in all aspects of worship.
Outreach
The Outreach Committee seeks to: shape and communicate the image of the Catholic community particularly on the UCSD campus. We publicize, coordinate community events and strive to link Catholics and non-Catholics alike on campus to the life of the Church foster ecumenical, intercultural and university-related communication and collaboration.
Social Justice
The Social Justice Committee has a three-fold purpose: to raise awareness among themselves and within the community about justice issues; to plan and coordinate actions for justice; to empower the community to further the ongoing conversion of social structures to Gospel values.
