Howdy,
How are y'all? I hope all is well.
My name is Lance Operhall and I am working towards my M.S. degree in
structural engineering, here at UCSD.
It is with gratitude and honor to represent the young adults group on the
pastoral council. Even though I have trouble reconciling my own checkbook,
I can't wait to bring my enthusiasm to the business and event coordination
sides of the Newman Community.
Born and raised in the Houston, Texas, I have enjoyed my involvement with
the Catholic Church from Altar Servers, Knights of Columbus, to Longhorn
Awakening. With that, I have always felt that getting involved is
important to be resolved and committed to yourself, your community, and to
God. As I once stated to retreatants, "Don't be a good catholic, be a Great
Catholic."
For fun, I love to travel, play golf and football, and support the
performing arts. Lately, I have been enjoying being a "decent" Tex-Mex
Chef.
