Hi, I am Claire. I am a second year in Eleanor Roosevelt College, living in International House. I am majoring in International Studies with a focus in Linguistics, which is the study of Language (not necessarily the ability to speak a lot; I am trying to learn though). I was born and raised in Santa Cruz, California, up the north coast of this beautiful state. I have two brothers one older and one younger so I am smack dab in the middle. This year I will be serving all of you on the Outreach committee where I will help with the behind the scenes work of making Newman Center run smoothly, as well as planning events to bring all the Catholic communities across UCSD together. You will always be able to tell I am at the Newman Center because my hand-painted bike will be parked outside. If I am not there the best bet would be that I am down at the beach, which is my favorite place to be. The ocean and sand can calm me down, focus me and get me through anything. During the summers I work up North as a lifeguard and a junior lifeguards instructor. I also enjoy swimming, some running, riding my bike places, reading, baking and cooking (they are very different), eating and hanging out with friends and family. So now that you know a little about me, come talk to me so that I can get to know you too!
