Rehearsal Times
If singing at the 12:30 mass - rehearsal is every Monday from 7:30 - 9:15 p.m.If singing at the 5:30 mass - rehearsal is every Monday from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Both rehearsals are at Good Sams. In addition, we meet 30 minutes prior to mass every Sunday. Brief History I have lived in San Diego for ten years where I have worked in various churches as accompanist or music director. I feel very blessed to be part of the staff at the Newman Center. The staff and community continually seek justice, preach love and teach compassion. Our music ministry tries to emulate these principles through classical, gospel, contemporary and multi-cultural music. My early musical training was focused primarily on organ performance as well as concert band percussion and choral music. Now I spend my time at the piano practicing jazz, blues and gospel chords. Spiritually I have grown through my studies at USD where I recently completed my M.A. degree in Practical Theology. My goal now is to unite my theological background with my love for liturgical music (particularly gospel music) and create musical compositions that will enliven and challenge the assembly to walk the path of Christ. When I'm not at work I'm likely drinking coffee or eating sushi or on the eliptical machine or dreaming about my next vacation destination.
