Patty Stewart, Pastoral Associate for Faith Formation and Administration

This November I will begin my 9^th year at the Catholic Community at UC San Diego Newman Center. Whoo hoo! I feel so blessed to be here as the Pastoral Associate for Faith Formation and Administration. In addition to managing the administrative operations I serve as Advisor for the Faith Formation committee, direct the Christian Initiation process with a dedicated team, facilitate the Confirmation preparation and share leadership with other staff on Building Tomorrow endeavors, Pastoral Council and the Liturgy and Outreach committees. Sharing faith with those who come seeking sacraments, spiritual growth and development, and learning more about the Catholic faith brings great joy to my life.

My life experiences happily include 41 years of marriage, 3 remarkable adult children, and 3 delightful grandsons. For 30+ years I have worked in 6 parishes or Catholic schools in Faith Formation and liturgical ministries up and down the Pacific Coast, from San Diego to Seattle. My formal education includes a BA in Economics and an MA in Theology.

I believe that our lives unfold in ways which allow us to continually grow in love and service to one another as we strive to live out Gospel values. I look forward to the upcoming year of Come! Explore! Share!
