Healing Prayer Circle, Feb. 12

Following the 12:30 Mass next Sunday, Feb. 12, our Care Ministry's Healing Circle provides an opportunity for all who feel the need for healing in any aspect of their lives to join with us in prayer. We meet for about 30 minutes in the chapel just inside the front doors. All are welcome.

Coachella Valley Service Retreat

Help this year's Coachella Valley Service Retreat be a success by signing up or by filling a reusable grocery bag with household items for migrant families in Duroville. Grab a flyer outside for more details and bring back the bags next Sunday, Feb. 12.

Scripture Unlocked, Feb. 6

Scripture Unlocked: a new series of dynamic talks led by Biblical Theology and Philosophy scholars begins tomorrow, February 6 at John Paul the Great. For more information, pick up a flyer after Mass at the tables or in the kiosk.

Ash Wednesday Services

February 22 is Ash Wednesday and there will be an ecumenical service at noon on campus. There will also be a 6:00 pm service of the Word with distribution of ashes here at Good Samaritan with our Episcopal brothers and sisters, followed by a light supper.

Community Picnic, Feb. 25

Hey everybody! We know that you have really been working hard, studying hard, and praying hard, so you deserve a break to play hard. So we invite you to our grand picnic in Doyle Park on Saturday February 25th, from 12pm-4pm. This invitation is open to anyone and everyone, especially those who are bored and hungry because there will lots of games and free food. Come for an afternoon of fun and entertainment, followed by a Sunset Mass at 5:00pm.

Catholicism Series, Starting Jan. 31

Fr. John Paul will host a series on "Catholicism" extending over twenty-sessions during Winter and Spring which is open to the entire community. He will use Fr. Robert Barron's series as a guide to journey into the questions, important sites, history, spirituality, and traditions of our Catholic faith. Join us on Tuesday evenings, beginning January 31st, 2012 - 7-9pm in Roetter Hall, next to the church. (Actual sessions will run from 7-8:30pm - with a question and answer period from 8:35-9pm)
