Annual Community Events

Each year we come together to celebrate as a community at these annual events.

Welcome Mass and BBQ

We gather on the Sunday prior to Week 1 at 3:00 PM to welcome new and returning students to campus and to open the year up with a Mass. Following Mass there is a BBQ where you can connect with old friends, enjoy good food, and make new friends. All are welcome!

Advent Giving Tree Party

At the end of the Fall Quarter we gather to celebrate Advent. We enjoy great food and fellowship, assemble homeless care packages, and are invited to get a tag from the Advent Giving Tree and return the item in need. All are welcome!

Appreciation Mass and Reception

Each year in the Spring Quarter we come together during the 12:30pm Sunday Mass to celebrate all who have given their time, talent, and treasure to the Newman Center. After Mass we enjoy food and fun as we show our appreciation to each and every member of our community. All are welcome!

Coffeehouse

Coffee House is an annual dinner and talent show held during the Winter Quarter. It celebrates our talented and diverse community and features musical acts to comedy to magic from all our Students, YAGS, and Residents. Join us for this night of friendship and fun. All our welcome.

Graduation Mass and Reception

Each year on the Friday of Commencement Weekend we come together at 8:00pm to celebrate our Students and their families. During Mass we celebrate their achievements and send our new graduates off with a blessing and the love of the Newman Center. Of course, no celebration is complete without food! All are welcome!
